Historical castle set on 74 000M² (185-acres)located in the beautiful regional park of Vexin, just north of Paris. Built in 1668 by François Mansart, and completed by his nephew around 1694.
Formerly the main residence of one of France's more remembered Dukes under the reign of Louis the XIV.
Being one of the most significant historical castles in France, this castle is both simple and sumptuous with an octagonal Salon, an elegant dining room, with magnificent boiseries filling the music salon. A stone foyer, and a grand staircase complete the main building. Additionally, there are 2 separate wings, where chefs can delight in the state of the art gourmet kitchen, linking this 2nd wing to the castle itself.
An adjacent spacious chapel with a reception room are available for weddings, conferences, dinner parties, and special events.
This castle has been the site for unions of Europe's crowned royalty, including the marriage of the Countess Sophie of Grouchy to Duke of Condorcet with the General Lafayette, major of the French army to the United States being the witness.
The castle and the grounds became even more famous since many major French and American film studios have produced some of their award winning films on the castle's site.
